Our Mission

Cosmetology Concepts Institute is dedicated to the educational needs of all students enrolling in the programs we offer. Our mission is to prepare the student for an entry level position in a professional salon and to fulfill all requirements of the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology, preparing the student to pass the state board exam for licensure. During training, the staff at Cosmetology Concepts Institute will strive to help students develop the professional qualities needed to become a valuable asset to the cosmetology industry.

Our facilities are designed to promote individuality and creativity and an optimum atmosphere for learning. A resource library and visual aids, specifically designed for the program Cosemtology Concepts Institute, are utilized in our bright, spacious, over 6,300 square foot modern classroom clinic.

Educational Objectives

Cosmetology with Manicuring - Cosmetology Concepts Institute offers the course of Cosmetology with Manicuring to prepare students for the licensing examination required by the State Board of Cosmetology for the state of Missouri exclusively. This course provides the student with the skills for employment as a cosmetologist. More Details.

Manicurist/Nail Technician - Cosmetology Concepts Institute offers a course for the individual desiring an education in the art of manicuring. It will prepare the student for the Licensing Examination required by the State Board of Cosmetology. This program provides the student with sufficient skills for employment as a manicurist/nail technician in the State of Missouri. More Details.

Estheticians - Cosmetology Concepts Institute offers the course of esthetics to prepare the trainee for the Licensing Examination requried by the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology. This program provides the student with sufficient skills for employment as an esthetician. More Details.

Ownership

Cosmetology Concepts Institute has been owned by Robb Enterprises, Inc. since 1989, and was established in 1974.

Facilities

Cosmetology Concepts Institute, a facility with 6,500 square feet of floor space, is located at 1611 Burlington Street, Columbia, Missouri. The physical layout is: Entryway / Foyer Office Reception / Retail / Waiting Area Classrooms Dispensary / Breakroom Area Hairstyling Lab Area Esthetician Treatment Rooms Hallway and Restrooms All equipment for the school was selected with the intent of providing the student body with a quality education. In addition to having the use of school equipment, each student is issued an individual kit of equipment and supplies. Students will use this kit for their classroom/lab work and during State Board exams. This kit must remain on school premises until the student graduates.
